My Photo at the Art of Black and White Exhibition at 6x6 Centre for Photography Limassol

The recognition: a selection in Limassol

I am delighted to share that one of my images was selected for digital display at the "Art of Black & White" exhibition at 6x6 Centre for Photography in Limassol. The selection was made from photographs submitted by image-makers around the world through a GuruShots challenge.

The chosen work is a black-and-white fine-art seascape — a woman in a flowing white dress at the water's edge, captured in the moment a sweep of foam curves along the shoreline. The contrast of dark sand, pale fabric and soft light creates an atmospheric, almost fairy-tale scene, in which black and white distils the image to a play of tone, texture and movement.

The venue: 6x6 Centre for Photography, Limassol

6x6 Centre for Photography is a multi-functional space in the heart of Limassol, entirely dedicated to the art and practice of photography. The Centre was founded by professional photographer Vassos Stylianou to advance the understanding and appreciation of photography as a medium — through exhibitions, education, seminars, workshops, publications and photographic events.

The Centre's Photographers' Gallery offers exhibition space to both local and international photographers — and it was here that GuruShots presented the "Art of Black & White" exhibition.

What is GuruShots?
