My Photo at the Art of Black and White Exhibition at PH21 Gallery Budapest

The recognition: a selection in Budapest

I am delighted to share that one of my images was selected for digital display at the "Art of Black & White" exhibition at PH21 Gallery in Budapest. The selection was made from photographs submitted by image-makers around the world through a GuruShots challenge.

The chosen work is a black-and-white fine-art nude — a female figure resting on a herringbone parquet floor, with large feathered wings spread out beside her. The quiet, almost sacred composition, the soft light and the precise rhythm of textures — wood and feathers — create a mood of stillness and fragility. Black and white distils the image to what matters most: tone, form and texture.

The venue: PH21 Gallery, Budapest

PH21 Gallery is a contemporary photography space established in 2012 in Budapest, at Raday utca 55 (District IX, 1092 Budapest). Founded and curated by philosopher of art Zsolt Batori, its mission is to provide group and solo exhibition opportunities and international exposure for contemporary photographers around the world.

The gallery archives all of its exhibitions electronically, and its website functions as a virtual gallery in which every exhibited work is published. It was here that GuruShots presented the "Art of Black & White" exhibition.

What is GuruShots?
